Frequently asked questions

What is Spain’s Crea y Crece Law and how does it affect my SAP system? +

Law 18/2022 (Crea y Crece) makes electronic invoicing mandatory for all business-to-business (B2B) transactions between companies and self-employed professionals in Spain. For your SAP system it means issuing, receiving and managing invoices in structured electronic formats (Facturae, UBL or EDIFACT), connecting through exchange platforms and reporting the payment status of those invoices.

What is Verifactu and is embedding a QR code in SAP invoices mandatory? +

Verifactu is the system introduced by Royal Decree 1007/2023 to prevent tax fraud by regulating invoicing software. It requires systems such as SAP to guarantee the immutability, traceability and retention of invoicing records. It also mandates including a QR code on every printed or PDF invoice and allows, on a voluntary basis, the automatic submission of records to the Tax Agency (the “VERI*FACTU” system).

How do Facturae, Verifactu and the Crea y Crece Law differ? +

Facturae (Law 25/2013) is the structured XML format required to invoice public administrations (B2G). The Crea y Crece Law makes electronic invoicing mandatory between private operators (B2B) to improve traceability and reduce late payment. Verifactu (RD 1007/2023) is the technical software regulation that requires keeping a tamper-proof, anti-fraud digital record of every invoice (B2B and B2C) and adding a QR code.

How does the EUDR regulation affect logistics and materials management in SAP? +

Regulation (EU) 2023/1115 on Deforestation (EUDR) requires companies to ensure that products such as cocoa, coffee, soy, timber, rubber or cattle do not come from deforested land. At ERP level it means adapting SAP (MM and SD modules) to capture and trace geolocation data of the source plots and to manage the Due Diligence Statements (DDS) before customs and authorities. The European Commission postponed its main application to 30 December 2026 for large operators, and to 2027 for SMEs.

When is the Digital Consignment Note (e-CMR) mandatory and how is it integrated in SAP? +

The European eFTI Regulation and Spain’s Sustainable Mobility Law set the move to an electronic control document. In Spain, the digital consignment note (e-CMR) becomes mandatory for road freight transport as of 5 October 2026. In SAP (LE-TRA / TM modules) this means digitising delivery-note generation, integrating advanced electronic signatures and connecting the ERP with certified eCMR platforms so authorities can scan the document via a QR code.

What is the Digital Product Passport (DPP) and how do I prepare my ERP for it? +

The Digital Product Passport is a requirement of Regulation (EU) 2024/1781 on Ecodesign for Sustainable Products (ESPR). It requires products placed on the EU market to have a digital identity (accessible through a data carrier such as a QR code or RFID) with information on their origin, composition, carbon footprint, recyclability and manuals. In SAP it means unifying product life-cycle (PLM), finance and supply-chain data into a master-data hub able to generate and expose this passport, with progressive roll-out by product group from 2026/2027.

What are the advantages of having a local SAP partner in the Canary Islands? +

Having a partner in the Canary Islands guarantees a single point of contact with direct knowledge of your time zone and business ecosystem. Technically, it is key to adapting your ERP to the archipelago’s tax specifics: the IGIC configuration, the Economic and Fiscal Regime (REF), the Canary Islands Special Zone (ZEC) and the connection of the Immediate Supply of Information (SII) with the Canary Islands Tax Agency (ATC).

What does an SAP consultancy project include? +

From the initial analysis and process definition to implementation, migration, integration and support. We cover the configuration of core modules (FI, CO, MM, SD, HR), custom developments in ABAP or BTP and migrations to SAP S/4HANA, tailoring the scope to each client’s operational and regulatory requirements.

Do you work with companies and public bodies? +

Yes. We have experience in both the private and public sectors, delivering projects with the specific regulatory knowledge, the information security (National Security Framework) and the interoperability that public administrations require.
